Integrative Counselling Approach

In my counselling sessions, I integrate a unique blend of complementary therapeutic modalities: Person-Centred, Adlerian psychodynamic, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Somatic Therapy (Mind-Body).

So what does counselling look like?

Most importantly, when we meet it is my goal that you feel a sense of compassion, understanding and warmth, in a welcoming and accepting space. Together we will explore your life experience and discuss about how your past may have helped to create a way of looking at the world.

We will talk about whether you feel that this way of looking at the world is useful for you or whether you would like to make some changes. Through our work together you will be given strategies for helping you to feel more confident in asking for what you want, and setting boundaries with people in your life, so that you can live the best life possible.

We will also look at how your body is responding to stress and struggle, and we will use strategies to help calm your body and create a sense of peace, and groundedness in your life.

Our therapeutic relationship is very important and it is imperative that the fit between your needs and my counselling style is right and we can discuss this during our initial session.

I look forward to working with you.

With kindness and compassion,
